Force Works (So Successfully you'll get that perfect boob and butts pose you've always dreamed of: male or female)
Okay, so, since this has already gotten a lot of attention and explanation as to why it’s automatic fail, I stuck more or less to the basics and worked on fixing her instead of changing her pose.
Here’s the original. And geez, why do superhero costumes so often neglect proper breast support? Even I need it, and I’m an A-.
Aside from that, well.
That’s the worst part: there is no spine. Just fold her up and stick her in your pocket.
The second problem has been touched on, and that’s the REALLY ILLOGICAL battle stance. Unph. Here’s what it looks like to him:
That’s her spine, by the way, heading toward her crotch. Also, I realized I changed her hands unintentionally. He would only see the backs of her hands. She’s not even aiming any attack at him.
This is what this body SHOULD have looked like if it had been human, with, y’know…organs. Also, I changed the angle of her hair-swish and took a few liberties because this hurt me. Is this how I would draw a battle stance? No. But then it wouldn’t look good on a cover, because we’d only get butts, and maybe a little side-boob action.
In my last redraw, I changed her figure
because even I like curves. In this redraw, I wouldn’t make the waist any skinnier than this. I’m very, very slender, and this is about what my waist looks like in the mirror. Any skinnier and you’re getting into seriously underweight problems. Also, where the ribcage is, there’s a natural fleshy fold there when you twist, even for very skinny bodies. And, hey, since we don’t get to see many male redraws:
Well. This. THIS. Why would someone do this to him?
Yikes! Even the guys aren’t immune to the broken spine syndrome.
There, reconnected (his head and neck included).
On a side note, I think where women in comics suffer from boobs-and-butt poses, men suffer from the machismo, neckless man squat, where the legs must always be spread and body overwhelmingly body-builder bulky, which was why I gave him dancer legs.
Honestly, I feel for both genders!
Very nice redraws. I especially like what you did with Scarlet Witch. She definitely looks way more effective at fighting now. :)
